Staff Selection Committee has conducted SSC JE Exam for the purpose of recruiting Junior Engineers in various government departments. The conditions for SSC JE eligibility are manifold including that of citizenship, age, and educational background. The national entrance exam is held in two stages – Paper-I and II. SSC JE Eligibility Criteria Complete Details
It is important for a candidate to check in advance whether or not he/she is eligible to take the SSC JE 2019 exam. Following are the criteria which need to be met:
1. Nationality – SSC JE Eligibility
A candidate must be either one of the following-
- Citizen of India
- Subject to Nepal
- Subject to Bhutan
- Tibetan refugee came to India before 1st January 1962 to become a permanent resident.
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Burma, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire and Vietnam to become a permanent resident of India.

Junior Engineer (QS&C) | MES – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized University/Institute OR Passed an Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying (Sub Divisional-II) from the Institute of Surveyors (India). |
