The Application Process
The SSC CPO application process is completed online only. This means that you have to log on to the online portal at SSC and then fill in the online application form. Please keep the following things in mind while you complete the online application.

The SSC CPO Tier 1 Exam Pattern
After you have successfully filled in the application form and downloaded the admit card, you need to appear for the SSC CPO Tier 1. Tier 1 is an MCQ type question paper and it is conducted online. This means that you have to go to the exam venue and you would be allotted a computer and you have to answer on the computer. The questions would come from subjects like General Awareness, Reasoning, English and Quantitative Aptitude (Maths). For every right answer, you would get 1 marks and for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks would be deducted.

The PET/PST Test
Next stage of the CPO selection process is the Physical Enduration Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). This stage is only qualifying in nature, this means that the score would not be counted for your selection. The following tests are included in the PET.

SSC CPO Tier 2 Exam
The final stage in the exam is SSC CPO selection process is Tier 2. In Tier 2, you only have to answer questions on the English language. You would be asked questions on English grammar and comprehension. There would 200 marks for 200 questions. The exam pattern is the same as SSC CPO Tier 1 exam.
