The SBI Clerk Exam is taken in 2 stages, one is prelims and other is mains exam. They both have a somewhat similar syllabus, but the time of the exam is different. Changes have been made to the SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2020 and  SBI is expected to keep following the pattern in this year as well. As per this pattern, the applicants will be allocated a fixed time to attempt a section in the exam. Which mean “if the applicant is allowed 20mins for English section, then he/she cannot change the section before completion of 20 mins”. Another change that has been introduced by SBI officials is that this year there will be no minimum cutoff to clear the prelims exam. So, this means that if they need to take 1000 candidates to SBI Clerk Mains, then they would take only 1000 of the top ranking candidates to the next stage. The SBI follows a ratio of (1:10). SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern

The first stage of the process is Prelims. Therefore, you need to know about the SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern. The exam is an online objective type paper. It is to be completed in 1 hour, with each section having its own allotted time. Every correct answer would get you one mark and 0.25 is deducted for incorrect answers. The candidates have to qualify in each of the three sections in order to be selected for the mains exam.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern

Let us take a look at the SBI Clerk Mains Pattern. It is an online objective type exam with 190 questions belonging to different sections. The exam is of 200 marks and has negative marking. Correct answers get 1 marks and incorrect ones get 0.25 deducted. Candidates do not need to go through interviews for final selections. They have to provide documents for verification. SBI has introduced major changes from the year 2019 for the Interview Process. As per the latest SBI Clerk Recruitment, the interview process has been discontinued and the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the SBI Clerk Mains Examination.
