AIIMS, Delhi

AIIMS is a group of autonomous public medical colleges of higher education and medical training centre. It has its branches set up in a different part of India. These institutes are of national importance as declared by the Indian Govt. AIIMS New Delhi is an institution catering to public need and care since 1956. The Institute operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It has good facilities for patient care, research, and teaching. Christian Medical College, Vellore

Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi

The University of Delhi affiliates the MAMC. The freedom fighter cum the first education minister  Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is the man behind the name of the medical college. The medical school offers the degrees of MBBS (medical school degree, equivalent to Doctor of Medicine/ MD in some countries), postgraduate/residency degrees of MS, MD and super specialty/ subspecialty fellowship degrees of MCh and DM. Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi

The LHMC started its tenure of patient care in the year 1914. The Indian Government fund the college. Since 2011 the admission capacity to the MBBS course has been raised to 200 seats looking at the demand of good practitioner. The college has two medical college hospitals, Smt. Sucheta Kriplani Hospital and Kalawati Saran Child Hospital, with 877 and 350 beds respectively. It is also a surveillance center for AIDS. Grant Medical College, Mumbai

GMC Mumbai is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is one of the oldest institutions teaching Western medicine in Asia and India. Kasturba Medical College, Manipal

30th June 1953 KMC came into existence and functioning. The first private medical college in India offers UG and PG medical courses at the two KMC namely Manipal and Mangalore. The medical college encompasses the largest Health Sciences Library and the Anatomy Pathology museums in Asia.

The college started with the pre-clinical section at Manipal and for clinical training, the students had to go to Mangalore. The clinical program started at Manipal in 1969 with the setting up of the Kasturba Hospital.
