NATA exam or Nationa Aptitude Test in Architecture measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test assesses the candidate on his/her drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, mathematics and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time and are related to the field of study.
NATA 2019 Exam: The Council of Architecture (COA) will conduct NATA 2019 tentatively in the last week of April 2019. The application form for NATA 2019 will be available for filling in the third week of January (online mode). Candidate should go through the eligibility criteria before filling the form. The result of NATA 2019 will be available in the first week of June(tentative). The NATA exam qualification is based on the score or the deciding percentage of marks decided by the admission authority. Candidates who qualify in NATA 2019 will be eligible for admission in the participating and recognized Architectural Institutions.

Mode of Exam
NATA 2019 is the combination of both the online and offline test for the admission to the undergraduate degree in architecture. The two-part carries 1.5 hours each.

NATA Exam Pattern 2019
NATA exam pattern for the year 2019 is given below:
Basics:
- It is the main exam taken for pursuing architect in India.
- Duration of paper is 3 hours.
- The NATA exam has two major parts – Online mode and Offline mode.
- The questions in the first part are of an objective nature (MCQ).
- There is no negative marking in NATA.
Questions and Marking Scheme:
- It will have a total of 62 questions in both the parts.
- 20 for mathematics
- 40 for general aptitude
- 2 for drawing test.

Application Form NATA 2019
Admission authorities will release the application form of NATA 2019 in online mode tentatively in the third week of January 2019. Steps to follow to fill NATA application form:
- Registration: The candidate has to register on the official NATA 2019 website by entering valid email id, username, date of birth, and mobile number. The candidate has to create a username & password for login to NATA portal all through the admission process.
- Filling up of Application Form: The candidate first has to login using their username & password. The form should be filled carefully with all correct information.
- Uploading Documents: Successfully filling up the application form, candidate would be required to upload the scanned photograph, signature, and category certificate(if applicable).
- Submit the form: The form has to be submitted for application completion, on submission the unique 7 digit application number has to be noted down for future reference.
- Payment of Fee: The application has to be paid using online or offline mode. The confirmation page has to be printed for future references.

NATA Admit Card
The admit card for NATA 2019 will be released by the authorities tentatively in the fourth week of April 2019. The NATA admit card would carry details like the name of the candidate, photograph, signature and exam venue with the date. The admit card should be downloaded and a print out has to be taken for sitting in the NATA exam.

- Loin to the NATA portal using NATA 2019 application number and date of birth
- The candidate has to select ‘National Aptitude Test in Architecture’ option after login.
- Click on the “Download” button for downloading the admit card.
NATA 2019 Exam Centres
The NATA exam centre for NATA 2019 would be made available for a candidate once the application form is out. The 2018 NATA exam centres were 136 in number including one international (Dubai) centre. The candidate will be allowed to select three centres for NATA exam according to their preference while filling up the application form. The first preference would be given priority.
NATA 2019 Result
The authorities will tentatively declare the result in the first week of June. The NATA 2019 result will include the (overall) qualifying cutoff, and subject-wise minimum marks required for qualification. The overall qualifying marks ( is out of 200), and is decided by the COA after analyzing the post-exam statistics. The NATA authorities will decide the qualification criteria.
Checking NATA 2019 Result
- Go to the result portal of NATA 2019.
- Login using unique applications number and date of birth.
- The screen will display the NATA 2019 result.
- Download the result and take a printout.
- The scorecard is valid for one academic year.
Cutoff Marks NATA 2018

NATA Counseling and Admission Process
The basic eligibility for NATA accepting scores is similar across all the participating institutes in India. The candidate satisfying all the eligibility requirements of NATA and other particular eligibility criteria if set by a particular institute is given admission after the authorities confirm the same.
- After COA will release the NATA entrance 2019 score, the online application for counseling starts the second week of June 2019.
- The candidate has to submit their 10, 12 class mark sheets and their preference of the NATA score accepting institutes along with the chosen branch of study.
- Taking into account candidates NATA scores, eligibility of the candidate the availability of seats and the branch preference one is either allotted a seat or kept on the waiting list.
- One has to reserve the seat by paying the first-semester fee.
