Minority Scholarship or MOMA Scholarships is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, to the deserving candidates belonging to minority community recognized by Indian Government. The Scholarship is provided to those Minority class students who are financially weak. The aim of providing this scholarship is to uplift the minority class of students and to bring the much-needed balance in the Indian Society.

The MOMA is for Pre-matric, Post matric, Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Profesional & Technical Courses. The winner is awarded the INR 20,000 per month.

To apply for the Minority Scholarship 2019-20 students are required to fill the Minority Scholarship Application Form 2019 Online on the official website prior to the last date after the release of the applications. Students can check here the type of scholarship being offered by MOMA.

Pre Matric Minority Scholarship 2019

The Scholarshi[p aims at providing financial assistance to the students studying pre-matric level. In this scheme, the government will award the student with INR 600 annually. The basic eligibility is the candidate must be the student of class 1-10 at a recognized private or government school. Income of the family should not be exceeding the amount of 1 Lac.

Post Matric Minority Scholarship 2019

Pre Matric Scholarship will be awarded for the minority students of government and private school after the class X, XI, XII, postgraduate or graduate only in India. The Scholarship programme is to motivate and support minority students in continuing their higher studies. The scholarship amount is INR 10,000 annually with INR 380 per month maintenance charges.

Post matric also covers technical and vocational courses in any Institutional/Industrial Training Centres.

Eligibility Criteria

Students should check the eligibility before applying for the Minority Scholarship 2019

  • Students of class 11th and 12th, graduate, post-graduate, vocational courses, technical, M.Phil, or Ph.D. are eligible to fill the Scholarship Scheme.
  • The candidates who belong to minority community and the students who have scored at least 50% marks in any of the previous exams.
  • The students are eligible whose family income does not exceed INR 2 lacs for the scholarship, and the maximum number of children should be two at the same family.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS

The merit-cum-means scholarship under the MOMA scheme is meant for students who wish to pursue professional or technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level. The scholarship amount is INR 20,000. Under this minority scholarship, the applicants’ family income must not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs. The applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in their previous final exam in order to be eligible for this minority scholarship.

Status of Scholarship 2019

Ministry of Minority Affairs offers the scholarship amount annually for an academic year. It solely depends on the authorities, that who will be selected for the award. Students under the BPL scheme are eligible for the minority scholarship. The exhaustion of the previous scholarship will result in the renewal application.

Candidates required to fill the scholarship form very carefully with all the required documents.  Candidates should apply for the scholarship before the deadline. The application form will release in the month of July 2019 and the last date for applying will be 31st October 2019.
