MH CET Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Age, Education Qualification, Outside State


Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra (DET) Maharashtra releases MH CET eligibility criteria 2019 for defining the eligibility criteria, which the candidate has to fulfill in order to appear the MH CET state level exam.

The eligibility criteria of MH CET 2019 includes the information which is related to age, educational qualification, domicile, qualifying examination, and the marks scored, a combination of the subject for qualifying the exam test.

Candidates are required to fulfill all the  MH CET eligibility criteria 2019 in every aspect. Moreover before enrolling in the examination or filling the application candidates must check the MH CET eligibility criteria 2019. In case, if candidates seem to be ineligible he/she will be disqualified, even after qualifying the exams.

According to DTE Maharashtra, 85% of the seats in private unaided engineering institutes in Maharashtra will be filled through MH CET, while 15% seats will be filled/saved for All India Quota in view of MHT CET.

MHT CET 2019 eligibility criteria related to Qualifying Exam, Age and Year of Passing

  • Candidates those who have cleared the HSC/12th class exam are eligible for appearing in the exam of MH CET 2019.
  • No age limit has been given for appearing in MH CET Exam.
  • There is no restriction for passing the examination in the particular year.
  • Therefore, aspirants who are appearing in HSC/12 th examination 2019 are considered eligible for the MH CET examination.
  • Only Indians are Eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for MH CET Examination 2019

Students Category Eligibility Criteria
Candidates of Maharashtra Nationality: Indians are only Eligible

Qualification: Aspirants must have passed HSC/proportional exam with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with any of the subjects – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical/Vocational subjects. In these subjects taken together, the hopefuls ought to have anchored at least 50 % marks (for General Category) and no less than 45% (for saved classification and Persons with Disability competitors) having a place with Maharashtra State as it were).

All India Candidates Candidates must have a diploma in Engineering with at least of 55% marks (general category) and 45% marks (reserved category)
Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidates Candidates must have B.Sc degree for a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks (general category) and 45% aggregate marks (reserved category) belonging to Maharashtra State only. Candidates should have passed in XII class with a Mathematics subject.
Children of NRI/OCI/PIO/ Indian workers in Gulf countries(CWIG) or Foreign Country Candidates These applicants must have passed HSC or equal exam with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with one of these – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical/Vocational subjects and acquired no less than half checks in the above subjects taken together

All Indian Candidates for MH CET Eligibility criteria 2019

Under this category, only Indian Nationals can apply.

For Minority Candidates

Aspirants belonging to a particular linguistic or religious minority community from the Maharashtra State (notified by the government) are considered eligible under this category.

MH CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Defence Personnel

  • Children/spouse of defense personnel (resident of Maharashtra).
  • Children/spouse serving defense service personnel (transferred to Maharashtra) are also eligible.

Exemption Given to the Candidates for appearing in MH CET Examination 2019

  • Children of NRI/OCI/ PIO
  • Wards of Indian workers in Gulf countries.
  • Foreign Nationals.

They will be directly admitted based on their performance in qualifying the MH CET exam.

MH CET Counseling Procedure

MH CET counseling procedure will be scheduled in the of June 2019 onwards after the declaration of the result. Candidates who will successfully qualify the MH CET exam will be eligible for the counseling process. The MH CET counseling process will be via online web process.

  • Candidates are required to be ready with all the required documents.
  • The candidates will find the official link to register themselves for the counseling process.
  • Candidates have to pay the fees for the online counseling process.
