KIIT Admission Process – KIIT Counselling Procedure to get admission in KIIT University


KIIT counselling will be organised in the offline mode only by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology which is the governing body of KIITEE 2019 Exam. KIITEE is an university level exam which is your only gateway yo admission into various courses offered by KIIT. Candidates can only get admission into this if they have appeared for the entrance exam. The KIIT admission process is explained below.

KIIT Admission 2019

The KIIT admission process is simple, firstly the candidates have to fill the KIIT admission form which would register then for KIITEE. After that, the slot booking process will continue and admit card would be released. Then comes the day of the test and after the test results would be declared, followed by the cutoffs.

KIIT Counselling Procedure

Later, The counselling process starts which is solely based on the candidate’s merit and the rank secured. After a couple of days of result declaration, the University will release the counselling schedule. The students who’d qualify the cut-offs will be invited for the KIIT counselling. In the admission process, even the parents can go instead of the candidate to the KIIT. But, in that case, the admission will be provisional and will only be confirmed after the biometric verification of the candidate.

The university releases the KIIT cutoff marks for participating in the counselling. Candidates those who score the marks higher than the cut-off marks are invited for the counselling process. The counselling only takes place in the offline mode which means that the candidates have to be there at the designated centres with all the necessary documents. Those candidates failing to produce any such document shall be terminated from the process.

Step by step counselling procedure for KIIT 2019 admission

Choice filling

Candidates are called for counselling after the declaration of the merit list. The candidates scoring a higher rank will be given preference while allotting the seats. Candidates have to reach the designated counselling centre half an hour early and there candidates have to fill the course choice as per the order of their preference.

Document verification

Candidates have to verify their original documents at the time of KIIT counselling 2019. Those candidates who fail to produce the necessary documents will not be allowed for the admission.

Seat Allotment

After the verification process of the documents, candidates will be allotted the seats which will be on the basis of candidate’s filled choices, availability of the seats and rank of the candidate. Candidates have to confirm their admission by paying the fees. The KIIT admission process might be stopped in any stage as soon as the seats are filled.

Payment of the fee

Candidates have to pay the counselling fees to get admission in the allotted college for the allotted course.

Documents Required for participating in the KIIT counselling

Candidates should produce following Original Certificates and documents with one set of Xerox Copies on the day of counselling. Original Certificates will be returned after the verification and Copies will be retained by the university.

  • KIITEE 2019 admit card
  • KIITEE 2019 rank card
  • 12th mark sheet and passing certificate
  • 10th passed certificate and Mark Sheet.
  • 12th class admit card if the result is awaited
  • Two coloured passport size photograph.
  • Category certificate
  • Demand Draft of Rs. 75,000 which includes the counselling registration fees of Rs. 10,000 in favour of KIIT, payable at Bhubaneswar. Cash payment is not accepted. Balance fees to be deposited by June 2019.
