KCET Marks vs Rank – KCET Cutoff for Entrance Exam

KCET is an exam Which is conducted annually by the governing body KEA. The KCET will start accepting online applications in the month of January 2019. After the KCET exams, students receive a rank and their total marks. The rank refers to the position a candidate has scored among all the test takers and marks refers to the total number of marks you have scored out of maximum marks. The rank depends upon the number of candidates appearing for the test. Here is the difference between KCET marks vs rank.

KCET marks vs rank

Many students ask how much they need to score to get a good rank. There is no fixed number which decides the KCET rank of a candidate. There are various factors on which the cut off for KCET Exam depends and it changes every year, some factors like, number of candidates appearing for Exam, Difficulty of Exam, Marks obtained in 12 Class etc.But if you really want a number I can give a round figure somewhere near the minimum marks needed to get Rank less than 1000 on KCET. Suppose you have taken the exam in 2018, to make your rank lie under 1000 a candidate may need to get around 130–160 Marks in KCET 2018 Entrance Exam and around 90–95% in 12 Boards.

Real Example of one of the candidate-His PCM marks were 286/300 i.e., 95.33% and his kcet 2017 marks were 101/180. The rank score under these marks was 2823.

His rank was 2823 due to the fewer marks obtained in the KCET Exam so guys every single mark counts.

But these numbers can be changed based on above-listed factors.

So, there is no way for you to predict your KCET marks vs rank. As both of these rather go hand in hand rather than being the opposites factors. Also, not only your KCET marks vs rank, are the factors being taken into account. There are many more and every year the probability changes as the number of students taking the examination increases or decreases.
