All candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for appearing for KCET and for admissions into the participating colleges. KCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria Highlights
- Nationality – The candidate must be of Indian Nationality only.
- Domicile – Should have studied and passed from a recognized institution in the State of Karnataka and must have studied for a minimum number of 7 years. (from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard) as on July 1, 2019.
- Educational Qualification – the candidate must have passed from 12 standard examinations with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects and any one of the following – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer and should have also studied English.
- Minimum marks required – the candidate should have secured at least 45 % aggregate marks in 12 standard. whereas, the SC/ST/OBC students must have secured at least 40% aggregate marks in 12 standard.
KCET Eligibility for other state students
The KCET eligibility for other state students is that, if the candidates have studied in the state of Karnataka for a minimum of 7 years only then they are eligible for the KCET. KCET Eligibility for other state students also states that the students not from Karnataka can appear for COMEDK which is an entrance exam for Dental, medical and engineering. KCET Eligibility for other state students clearly states that you must have studied for 7 years in Karnataka.
KCET Application Process

KCET Admit Card
The KCET admit card is the next event in line after the KCET application. The admit card contains the candidate’s personal information, date and time of the exam and centre of the exam.
