KCET Counselling Procedure and Admission Process – KCET 2019 Exam


After the KCET application date, KCET Exam date comes the KCET counselling date. This process is one of the most crucial processes and the KCET counselling date is expected to fall around in the second week of June. This process contains various steps, so, students must pay attention and keep an eye out for the commencement of KCET counselling procedure.

KCET counselling procedure

The Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET counselling preocedur3 in both online and offline mode. Throughout the counselling procedure, KCET 2019 qualified candidates will have to complete their document verification, followed by the registration, option entry and then seat allotment process to get admission into the KCET participating colleges. In the KCET counselling procedure candidates are called according to their merit and the preference of the college.

Documents Verification and Registration

On the KCET counselling date, the candidates are required to carry all the original documents along with one their photocopies for the verification. Here are the documents that you require.

  • KCET Application form
  • KCET Admit Card
  • 2 Passport size photographs
  • Countersigned Study Certificate by the Concerned BEO/DDPI
  • 10 Standard Marks Card
  • 12 Standard Marks Card
  • Original Copy of the Chalan as proof of fee payment.

The first step is to get your documents verified, for the documents verification the qualified candidate had to report to the counselling centre as per the schedule is given to the candidate.

Choice Filling and Locking

After the verification and registration, the next step is to fill and lock the choice of colleges and courses.  The admission authority will upload the category wise, course wise and college wise seat matrix. All you have to do is select the preferred colleges and courses as per the eligibility in the order of the preference.

KCET Seat Allotment

In this last step of the counselling process where candidates are allotted seats according to their ranking in the merit list and selection of college and courses during counselling. The number of rounds for the counselling depends upon the number of candidates. Candidates have to download their admission/seat allotment letter by logging in with their credentials. The candidates qualified will have to visit the allotted institutes with all the documents for reporting, along with the printout of the seat allotment letter.

KCET Application Form

KCET Application process will begin from the fourth week of January 2019. The KCET application form will be available online on the official website. Upload the passport size photographs, signature and thumb impressions. After filling the required credentials, candidates will receive the application ID and password to their registered mobile number and Email ID. After filling the form take two printouts of it and acquire the principal seal and the signature from your junior college or high school from where you passed class 12 because it will be required in the admission process.
