The JEE Advanced 2019 is scheduled in May 2019 and the exam will be conducted in computer-based mode. This year engineering entrance exam is conducted under the supervision of IIT-Roorkee. Those Candidates who will qualify the JEE Main with certain marks can register themselves for JEE Advanced. On the basis the performance of a candidate in the engineering exam, admissions are given in IIT’s.

The JEE Advance exam consists of two papers Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of the exam is 3 hours and will be in two sessions. Post that JEE Advanced Admission Process and counselling will be conducted for the final seat allotment to the qualified applicant. This counselling is governed by Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JoSAA). JEE Advanced admission process and counselling will be done on the basis of student’s All India Ranks (AIRs).

JEE Advanced Admission Process/Counselling

Here we are mentioning the step by step guide on how to register for the counselling and all the important dates related to the admission process for the JEE Advanced 2019 Exams.

1. Registration

To register themselves, candidates have to enter the following details :

  • JEE advanced roll number
  • Registration number
  • Date of birth
  • Password

2. Choice filling

Candidates have to first login to fill choices of courses and colleges. We advise the applicant to carefully and fill choices after filling choices candidates have to lock their choices. The candidate can change the choice of courses, until the last day of the locking of the choices. Also, we recommend to the applicant that to fill choice before the actual closing date of the choice filling.

3. Online seat allotment

After successful completion of online choice filling of the seats, JoSAA will allot seats to registered candidates. The candidates can log in with the registration number, JEE Advanced 2019 Roll Number and Password to check their Seat Allotment. There are 6 rounds in counselling procedure. After each counselling round, applicants must check the seat allotment as it may change due to up gradation in previous rounds.

4. Online fee payment

To book the allotted seats, candidates have to pay the required fee in online mode. The payment can be done by Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.

5. Reporting to the allotted reporting centre

To claim the seats allotted to them, the candidates have to report to the allotted reporting centre for document verification.

  • JEE Advanced 2019 Seat Allotment letter
  • Original copy of JEE Advanced 2019 Admit card
  • Filled JEE Advanced 2019 Application Form
  • Medical Examination Report
  • Class X/HSC/Birth Certificate/Any other certificate
  • Class XII/SSC/Equivalent Exam Mark sheet and Certificate
  • Category Certificate (OBC/SC/ST/PWD/DS).
  • For foreign candidates: Attested xerox copy of the page in the passport containing the name, photograph, and nationality.

Only those candidates who have secured an acceptable rank in JEE Advanced 2019 will be able to attend the counselling.

Moreover, the candidate should have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in XIIth or equivalent board exam. For SC/ST/PWD category candidates the aggregate marks required for admission is 65%.
For admission to IITs, the applicants must be within top 20 percentile of successful candidates (category wise) in class 12th or equivalent exam
