Submission of Counselling Fee

Candidates have to pay Rs.1000 counselling fees which is non-refundable. Only after paying the fees the candidate will be able to fill the college preferences.

Choice Filling

This is one of the most important steps for the seat allotment. Without filling the choices the candidate will not be allocated any seat. Candidates can select from all the available options of the colleges under IPU as per their choice. It is advised that fill as many preferences as you can as that will increase your chances of a seat allotment and please note that once you have chosen your preferences and submitted then you can not re-fill or edit your prefernces.

Seat Allotment Result

The seat will be allocated to the candidate after accounting for various different factors, such as, merit(rank), category and region. If the seat is allotted to the candidate then you can print the provisional allotment letter. After that, the candidates have to pay the Rs. 40,000 as a part of the academic fee to confirm your seat.

Freezing of Allotted Seats

After the seat allotment, if the candidate is satisfied with the allotment and wishes to no longer participate in further rounds, then they can freeze their seat by selecting the ‘freeze’ option. If the candidate does not freeze the seat then in the next round they will be offered the next available preference.

Last Round of Allotment

In the last round, there are no reserved category seats as they get converted into unreserved category seats. After the last round of seat allotment, there will no option for withdraw of seats and refund of fees.

Sliding of Allotted Seats

If the candidate has paid the fee but not withdrawn from counselling then they can slide their seats in the next counselling round as per their next preference. The sliding round will only be based on the preferences already selected by the candidates on their merit basis. After the sliding of seats, the candidate must report to the institution for verification of the documents.

Reporting to the Institution

After the sliding round, the candidates can generate the provisional admission slip along with enrollment number. The candidates are required to report to the institution with the admission slip, the provisional allotment letter, the academic fee receipt and necessary documents. Failing to produce any of the required documents would result in cancellation of admissions.

Spot Counselling

This round takes place after the admission process is complete and when or if there are vacant seats in the University. Please note that Spot Counselling is only organized through offline mode and the candidates are required to pay the fees of Rs.2000.
