IIFT Placements Trends – Placements at IIFT Colleges

In the year 2018, the IIFT has set new standards in India for International Business programs and International placements. This year the Institute has seen an exponential rise and improvements in the IIFT placements. Both after the degree placements and pre-placement, offers were better than ever in the Institute’s history. So, here are the IIFT Delhi placements and IIFT Kolkata placements.

IIFT Placements

The IIFT placements for this year have seen a rise. The placements were concluded at a 55% rise in the international placements. Carving a new position in the global scenario, four of the candidates were offered a package of USD 150,000 (Rs 1 crore) per annum. Not only this another 7 students were offered USD 80,000 (Rs.53 lakhs). This increment in the international placements rose up the average salary of the IIFT to 19.23 lakhs per annum, which makes it one of the best B-schools in India.

This years batch was the largest with a total of 288 students as compared to 258 students in 2017. To recruit this batch 96 companies participated in the campus recruitments. Out of those 96, 35 companies were recruiting for the first time at IIFT. These recruiters included some prominent brands like Arcesium, Avendus Capital, BMW, CP group, Deloitte USI (S&O) EXL, PepsiCo, Tech Mahindra, YES Bank amongst others.

A total of 31 students were placed in International Business roles in South America, Thailand, Africa and South-East countries with top-notch recruiters. This records a splendid 55% jump for the institute as only 20 students were offered international roles in 2017.

IIFT continued to witness impressive international offers as Olam, TGI, AluZinc, ADM and Phoenix Commodities visited IIFT for their Trade roles under their Management Trainee programs, placing students across various regions of Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia; the CP Group based out of Thailand recruited for its Future Leaders Program (FLP) for their various business verticals across all domains.

Domestic IIFT Placements Trends

Top Domestic recruiters were Airtel, AkzoNobel, Bajaj Auto, Britannia, Dell, Flipkart, Godrej, Google, GSK, Hewlett-Packard, ITC, LAVA, MSIL, Raymond, Sterlite Power, TATA Group, Tetrapak and Vodafone are some of the constant recruiters in the Sales & Marketing Domain whereas, stalwarts in the Finance sector such as Axis Bank, Citi Bank, CRISIL, DBS, Edelweiss, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, ICICI Bank, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Nomura, YES Bank etc. recruited IIFT students in large numbers.

So these were the IIFT placements in the recent year. It is safe to say that IIFT Placements are one of the best placement providing cells in the country. The institute is one of the most reputed in India and now the institute has started to make its footprints in the global economy. With the number of international recruiters increasing the institute is assured to rise up the list of B-schools.
