IBSAT Exam is conducted for admissions into MBA and Ph.D to 9 IBS campuses around India. It is advised to all the candidates to be thorough with the IBSAT Exam Pattern. IBSAT paper pattern has been described by the ICFAI Foundation, which is the conducting body of the entrance examination.

The IBSAT Exam Pattern has been more over similar over the number of years with little or no changes. Just like every, even this year the exam will be of 2 hours or 120 minutes in duration with 140 multiple choice questions which will be divided into four sections.

IBSAT will be conducted on December 22-23, 2018. IBSAT Mock Test will also be released before the exam by the exam conducting body, ICFAI. Here is the detailed IBSAT exam pattern for the ease of the candidates.

The exam is divided into four sections as per the IBSAT exam pattern. The four sections are – Data Interpretation and Data Adequacy, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability and Quantitative Techniques. All the sections in the IBSAT exam pattern consist of 30 questions each, except for the verbal ability section of the exam. The verbal ability section of the exam consists of 50 questions, whereas, the other sections consist of 30 questions.

Marking Scheme

As per IBSAT paper pattern the marking scheme is simple for the examination. for each correct answer, the candidate is awarded one mark. Also, there is no negative marking in the examination for any wrong or unattempted question which paves the way for a little speculation of the answers as well.

Every year IBSAT releases a mock test paper for the candidates to practice. Practising such mock tests will help the candidates to get a better understanding of the nature of the exam. So, this was the IBSAT exam pattern. Knowing the exam pattern and the marking scheme helps the candidates to prepare for the exam accordingly and to chart out a plan accordingly. Candidates do keep in mind that the weight for the Verbal Ability section is more as compared to other sections as it consists of 50 questions.
