IBSAT Admission Process – IBSAT 2018


IBSAT is an annual entrance exam conducted by ICFAI. The IBSAT is your gateway to the 9 institutes of IBS spread across India. The IBSAT Admission process is fairly simple to understand. First, the candidates will register themselves for the entrance examination through online or offline mode by paying the requisite fees. After the exam has been conducted each of the institutes will release its own cut off for the shortlisting of candidates.

Then, the shortlisted candidates will be called upon for the GD and PI sessions, which is the round 2 of the selection process, round 1 is the entrance examinations. The second round of selection will be followed by the final results, where the name of the candidates attaining admissions will be announced. Thus, completing the IBSAT admission process.

Registration for IBSAT

Application form for IBSAT 2018 was made available online from July 1, 2018, and will be available in the offline and online mode till 12 December. Candidates have the option to either fill the application form online or candidates can buy the application form from any of the IBS marketing branches by paying the fees of Rs. 1800. After the Registration process, the candidates will be eligible for the admit card.

The release of Admit Card

After the candidates have filled the registration form and paid the necessary fee the admit card will be issued in the online mode and will be made available only to those candidates who have paid the fees.


IBSAT Exam is scheduled on 22 and 23 December 2018. The IBSAT is a 2-hour test which carries up to 140 questions

IBSAT Results

The IBSAT results will be declared online and on its basis, only the candidates will be called upon for the further selection process.

IBSAT Selection Process

According to the IBSAT selection process, there are two rounds through which a candidate has to go through – Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The candidates clearing both the rounds will be eligible for admissions into one of the 9 institutes of IBS.

It is vital for the candidates to keep a check on all the important dates for the IBSAT so as to stay updated with all the updates and notifications. As per the guidelines by ICFAI, the registrations for the IBSAT 2018 commenced on July 1 208 and will conclude on 12 December 2018.
