Please note that it might be possible that not all bank would recruit for all posts in IBPS SO 2018-2019. For example, Allahabad Bank might recruit IBPS SO IT officer through the exam, but they might not recruit any Agriculture officer. How does a Particular Bank Recruit Specialist Officers?

After you qualify for the IBPS SO exam, you would be allotted a bank from the list of IBPS SO banks, based on your rank in the IBPS SO exam and your preference. You would receive an email on your registered email ID stating that you have been allotted a particular bank. After that, the particular bank would send you an email with the date and timing of training and the venue of training. You would also be asked to carry some documents to the venue. After document verification, your training would commence for a particular period of time and after successful completion of the training, you would be appointed by the bank as a specialist officer or SO.

The Training Period of  IBPS SO Participating Banks

Well, almost all participating banks IBPS SO have a training period. Some of the banks might conduct training before appointing you and some might conduct training after appointing you. The training period in most IBPS SO Banks would normally last about 15-20 days and they would probably be conducted at the headquarters of the bank. You would be given full boarding facilities during this time. If the training is conducted before the appointment, then you would be given a stipend as well. After successfully completing the training, you would be given your first posting at a branch of the bank.
