Language Proficiency Requirements for IBPS 2018 Participating Banks

Most of the RRBs primarily serve a rural clientele. That’s why different RRBs require you to have proficiency in local languages to be considered eligible for recruitment. Please ensure that you are fluent in the local language before giving the preference for a particular bank.

What are Regional Rural Banks?

Regional Rural Banks or RRBs are banks that serve rural customers. However, RRBs can operate in urban areas as well. They could be defined as government banks operating at the regional level in different states of India, offering basic banking and financial services. RRBs are established according to the RRB Act 1976. RRBs offers the following services to its customers:

  • Providing banking facilities to rural and semi-urban areas.
