IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Eligibility Criteria

You need to meet certain criteria to apply for the IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 post. Let us check the major eligibility criteria

  1. Nationality

Fulfillment of either one of the conditions is necessary for taking the IBPS RRB 2018 exam:
(i) must be a citizen of India
(ii) must be a subject of Nepal or
(iii) must be a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India
(v) a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

  1. Age Restriction

Your age should be below the IBPS RRB age limit. Note that 01-September-2018 is the reference date for the purpose of calculation of age. To apply for the post of the RRB Officer Scale 1, your age need to be between 18 to 30 years

This is the maximum age limit for General Category candidates. Candidates belonging to other categories would get age relaxation as per the IBPS RRB Eligibility criteria  2018 from the following table:

  • The date for Filling Up IBPS RRB 2018 application form
    Online form fill-up for IBPS RRB 2018 starts from 8th June 2018. The last date for filling up the form is 2nd July 2018.
  • The Mode of Filling up the Form
    For people looking for IBPS RRB apply, you need to fill up the forms online. You would need to fill up the form on the official website of IBPS. No other mode of filling up the form is accepted.
  • Important Things that You Need to Have
    You need to have the following documents before you fill up the IBPS RRB online form 2018. The below-mentioned list is the list of the document required for the while filling up the IBPS RRB 2018 application form.

  • The Application Fee
    The Application Fee for all posts in IBPS RRB exam is Rs.600. This is for general category candidates. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories, the application fee is Rs.100. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen. Please note that the application fee can only be paid online. No ‘offline’ mode of payment, like bank challan or demand draft, would be accepted.

How to Apply Online for IBPS Officer Scale 1

STEP 1 – Go to the official website of IBPS (www.ibps.in) and click on the link ‘CRP for RRBs’.
STEP 3– Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and then enter your basic information. You would be given a provisional registration number and password. You need to save them so that you can reopen your saved data later and make changes.
STEP 4 – Upload the documents as required. After you have filled in all the information and uploaded the required documents, click on ‘SAVE AND NEXT’.
STEP 5 – After you clicked on ‘SAVE AND NEXT’, you would be shown the application form as filled by you. If you find any mistakes, you can make changes. PLEASE NOTE THAT AFTER THIS STEP YOU WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES. After you are satisfied, click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’.
STEP 6 – You would get an email and an SMS, with the details of your provisional registration number and password.
STEP 7 – After you click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ button, you would be asked to pay the application fee via the modes mentioned above. After a successful transaction, you would be given an e-receipt. You are advised to take the print-out of the same.
STEP 8 – If you don’t get the e-receipt, try logging in again and making the payment.
