Why do you want to do it?
Well, what can be the answer to this question? Most people will say that a CAREER is needed to define yourselves, grow as an individual and earn money to lead a certain lifestyle. The question to ask is whether you are doing it just for the money or the fame that you will be getting by doing that job or is it that you are really loving it irrespective of the money that it is bringing to you. We have seen many people leaving high-profile jobs to pursue what they really love to do and many students moving to different streams after choosing one. Take for example many of the stand-up comedians like Biswa Kalyan Rath and Vipul Goyal who are IITians and who left their high-paying corporate jobs and took up stand-up comedy just because they like it. You can consider the fancy salary as a stability but if you are not willing to do it then that stability is of no use.
Just Think. Asking this question is very important as it will help you do a reality check on you. Career is not all about the money but about the satisfaction that you will get from it. If that ‘WHY?’ is not answered properly then there will be regrets and which you definitely don’t want.
So, find out WHAT you want to do and HOW you will do it.
But most importantly ask that, WHY you want to do it?
Career is something which is an integral part of your life and will stay on with you for the rest of your life. It’s a very important decision which you will take and you have to take it wisely.
