Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test – GPAT 2019
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, popular by the acronym GPAT, is a national-level standardized test organized and conducted annually once every January in various centers across the country by the National Testing Agency(NTA) as per the directions issued by the Ministry of Human Resources Development(MHRD) to admit graduates in pharmacy to the postgraduate courses in pharmacy offered by all AICTE-approved institutions/university departments/constituent colleges/affiliated colleges.

Eligibility Requirements
The following general conditions must be met with to be eligible for application to GPAT 2019:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate must be a graduate in pharmacy. Final year students can also apply.
N.B. Students having or pursuing B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology)/equivalent are not eligible to appear for GPAT examination. No age limit is defined.
Application Procedure
Documents Required
- Digital copy of the candidate’s recent photograph taken on a white background (140*160) with a size of 60KB.
- Digital copy of the candidate’s signature(60*90) with a size of 30KB.
How to Apply
Online application forms will be made available on the official website from 1st November 2018. Visit the official website and click ‘New User’. Go through the instructions provided and accept the declaration. Click ‘Self-registration’ and fill in the details including a valid email address and submit the same. Login using the password sent to your registered email ID to proceed to the next stage of the application process. Pay the required amount as registration fees either online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or offline via SBI Challan. The details of the amount to be remitted are given in the following table:

A confirmation message will be sent to the registered email ID and fill in the details of the registration form. Verify and submit the same. Upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format and accept the declaration. Take a print-out of the application form for future reference.
Admit Cards
Admit Cards can be downloaded from the official website on 7th January 2019. Soft copy of the same will also be sent to your registered email ID.
Exam Pattern
GPAT is a computer-based online test spanning 3 hours conducted in various centres across the country. The question paper is set in English. There will be 125 multiple choice questions each carrying 4 marks. There will be a penalty of 1 mark for each of the wrongly answered questions.

Results and Scorecard
The results will be declared on the official website on 10th February 2019. Candidates can download their score card by entering their login credentials. It is valid for three years. Apart from determining admissions, the GPAT score is also used to screen candidates for scholarships. A merit list carrying candidate roll number, score, rank, category, and status will be prepared accordingly.
Counseling
There will be no centralized counseling session. Each of the individual colleges can determine their cut-offs and further admission procedures. The candidate will have to register separately in the concerned college seeking admission.
