Established in 1989, Visvesvaraya Technological University or VTU is one of the largest universities in India. Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering(R.V College of Engineering or RVCE) ranks first on the list of the best Engineering colleges in the city of Bangalore. Established in 1963, it is a private co-educational college located in Bangalore, Karnataka that offers Engineering in 11 disciplines. It is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.  RVCE is accredited by AICTE ( All India Council for Technical Education) and the 11 departments of Engineering it provides is accredited by the NBA(National Board of Accreditation).

Bangalore Institute of Technology(BIT) is a private engineering college that was established in 1979 and at present provides undergraduate degree under 9 disciplines. The college has an auditorium that can accommodate  1200 students, canteen, seminar halls, hostels and cultural sections. RNSIT  has a canteen that provides North Indian as well as  South Indian food at reasonable rates. Also, there are 2 boys and 1 girls hostel inside the campus which have the capability to accommodate around 530 boys and 300 girls. There’s also a guest room for guests or parents in the hostel region. The mess serves pure vegetarian food and the mess menu is prepared by the hostelers themselves. There’s a library that remains open from 8 am to 12 pm ( night)  and even open on Sundays till 1 pm(noon). It presently houses 80 journals, 26,341 books,  11 newspapers and 18 magazines.
