The NTA will be conducting the CMAT annual entrance exam this year in the online mode on 25 January 2019. As of now, NTA has not released any specific notification regarding CMAT Syllabus.

However, it is crucial for the candidates to be aware of the CMAT exam syllabus as it will make it easier for you to prepare for the same. As per the CMAT Exam Pattern, the test is divided into 4 sections – Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Language Comprehension.

So, here is the section wise syllabus which is expected this year, based on the previous year trends. Also, keep in mind that the CMAT is an objective based test which means that this syllabus is neither exhaustive nor official and questions can be asked out of the syllabus as well.

CMAT Exam Pattern

Let’s have a look at the CMAT Exam Pattern first. As per the CMAT pattern, the exam is of 3 hours, wherein, 100 questions of 4 marks each will be asked. This makes theCMAT total marks to 400 – 100 for each section. The 4 sections comprise of 25 questions each and the candidates have the freedom to toggle between sections as per their will. There is no time limit for each section in CMAT. However, there is negative marking in the exam. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer and no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

So, this was the CMAT Exam Syllabus for the candidates. By following this syllabus you can prepare well for the exam and  CMAT gives the candidates a chance to take a mock test as well, which will help you practice. NTA conducts a mock test for the candidates so that they can understand and get familiar with the exam and types of questions as well. Please note that NTA has not yet notified regarding the same.

If you want to pass the CMAT exam with flying colours then practice is the key. It is imperative that candidates practice as many sample papers as they can.
