Eligibility For Enrollment in Hotel Management Course
- Hotel Management courses can be done either after intermediate or can be taken up after graduation. Hotel Management courses fall under three categories – Graduate courses, Diploma courses and Post graduation courses.
- The time duration of the degree course is 3 years, while time duration of post-graduation degree and diploma course is 2 years. Sometimes the duration of the diploma is 1 year.

National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination is a national level Hotel Management entrance exam which offers candidates admission based on their rank and preference of institutes.
It is jointly conducted by National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU). All candidates who have passed intermediate with a minimum of 50% are eligible.
This is the entrance test for B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The exam is conducted in April every year.
It is a Bilingual Examination. This has negative markings.

It is an undergraduate aptitude test. The basic objective is to grant admission in Hotel Management courses. It is scheduled every year in the month of May. IIHM is the organizing body of this test. The age limit is 22 years. Any candidate who has qualified regular Intermediate through a recognized examination board and English as one of the subjects is eligible for this exam. AIHMCT Written Admission Test
It is a popular written admission test for the hotel management courses. It is scheduled every April. It is a Paper test and is objective in nature.

Hotel Management Course Fee
The Fee structure of Hotel Management courses varies from institute to institute.
- The average fee structure of different Hotel Management courses is 2 to 8 lakhs for full-time courses.
- , Hotel Management institutes and colleges conduct entrance exams to pursue courses like CAT, MAT, GMAT, and AIMS ATMA.
- The candidate might also need to clear personal interview and group discussion.
The fee structure for the International Institute of Hotel Management, Delhi for the course B.Sc in Hotel Management and Catering Technology is 4,05,000/-. The university is affiliated to Bharathiar University. For BHM from Garden City College, Bangalore the candidate will have to pay around Rs. 55,000 per semester. The whole course will cost you around 3.5 Lakhs. There are 6 semesters in the course.
Another very good university is Christ College, Bangalore the semester fee is 48,000 but the BHM course duration is 4 years.

Hotel Management after Intermediate
The candidates are required to have a 10+2 qualification with a minimum of 50%. They should be good at communication and should have a good command of English.

Bachelor of Hotel Management-
It is also known as B.H.M Course. It is a regular undergraduate course of 4 years and is residential. It is a 3-year undergraduate degree program, focused to impart in-depth skills required for Chief/Kitchen Management. This course is divided into 6 semesters; the total fee for the course is approx 3-6 lakhs. After doing this course you can get the job profile of Chief, Kitchen manager, Hygiene manager, Restaurant Manager/ Food & Beverage office.
- The basic eligibility to get admission in this course is 10+2 within any stream with minimum 50% marks.

B.Sc in Hospitality Studies
This is also a 3-year undergraduate degree program divided into 6-semesters. This course gives you in-depth knowledge & skill of friendly reception & treatment of guest.
