How To Become A CA?
Candidates who are willing to appear in the examination need to clear the three stages of the Examination namely, CPT, IPCC, and CA Final. Candidates who want to take Chartered Accountant as a Career Option then they need to clear all the stages along with the articleship. Articleship in CA includes training which is mandatory for all the candidates.
The Three Stages Involves:
CPT (Common Proficiency Test)
Common Proficiency Test is the type of Entrance Exam which the candidates appearing in the CA has to give, The CPT exam includes four subjects i.e. Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Law, General Economics, and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates in CA-CPT needs to score 30% in each of the subject and 50% aggregate marks in total. Candidates once clear the CPT Examination will be further eligible for CA-IPCC. The four weeks of ICITSS conducted by ICAI will be compulsory to clear.
CA IPCC is the second stage of CA which include the two groups with 7 subjects both. The Group 1 and Group 2 will be the option for candidates to give in one attempt or separately for the 2 groups. Candidates can qualify the examination accordingly. The candidates can continue with the articleship after clearing the Group 1 of IPCC. The articleship can be of 3 years which is mandatory for the candidates to do.
The final step toward a Chartered Accountant, the candidates will be eligible only when he/she will qualify the both groups of IPCC and complete the Articleship. The Final Course consists of 8 subjects with 2 groups. Candidates when clear the final examination will become a CA.
