AIIMS, New Delhi the regulatory body for AIIMS MBBS 2019 entrance exam will determine the AIIMS eligibility criteria for MBBS.The Candidates who have not studied Biology as a regular subject in 10+2 class will be ineligible to apply for AIIMS exam 2019. The minimum AIIMS exam eligibility requirement mandates that the applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the core subjects.

AIIMS eligibility criteria for entrance exam 2019 will specify the minimum age of a candidate, academic qualifications, nationality etc, requirements mandatory for fulfillment by all the aspirants. What is AIIMS MBBS Exam 2019?

The admission to the nine AIIMS institutes across India is taken through the AIIMS MBBS 2019 entrance exam. The coveted Institute every year records approx 3 lakhs aspirants taking the entrance exam for 807 (7 seats are reserved for foreign nationals) seats available across nine AIIMS – New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Guntur, Rishikesh, and Nagpur. It is the toughest medical entrance exam in India. The AIIMS exam is organized by AIIMS, New Delhi annually.

  • It will be feasible for a candidate to go through the exam pattern before taking it.
  • The candidate appearing/passed 10+2 class from any recognized board is eligible.
  • Candidate should be 17 years of age on 31st December 2018.

The Number of Attempts for AIIMS MBBS exam?

There is no limitation for the number of attempts in AIIMS exam. The aspirants are free to take AIIMS MBBS entrance exam as many times they want after attaining 17 years of age.

AIIMS Eligibility 2019

The AIIMS exam eligibility depends on various factors as follows:

  1. Age – the minimum age requirement
  2. Academic Qualification of the candidate.
  3. The Nationality of the candidate

There are other additional criteria for candidates from OCI’s, NRI’s and PWBD category.

AIIMS MBBS Age Limit Eligibility Criteria

The candidates aspiring for taking AIIMS entrance 2019 exam have to fulfill the minimum age requirement set by the authorities. The candidate should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2019. The person born on or after 2 January 2003 will not be eligible for AIIMS entrance exam 2019.

Academic Qualification for AIIMS 2019

Class 12 or its equivalent is the basic qualifying exam, the qualifying marks differ according to the candidates’ category. The candidates fulfilling these eligible conditions will be able to give the exam:

  • Candidate passed/appearing class 12 exam.
  • Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the main subjects in Class 12.
  • The applicants should have the necessary aggregate marks in the qualifying exam:
    • General Category and OBC-  aggregate 60% marks in qualifying exam.
    • SC/ST/PWBD – 50% marks in qualifying exam.
  • Candidates should fill the appropriate AIIMS Qualifying Examination Codes in the online application form.

Eligibility -AIIMS 2019 Exam

The AIIMS exam eligibility- it is mandatory for candidates to pass Class 12 under the recognized CBSE/ICSE various equivalent State board exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the core subject of study. The candidates completing their education from outside the country have to present the certificate from the concerned University to the effect that the examination passed or appearing is equivalent to class 12 under 10+2 intermediate scheme. The different category of Indians eligible for AIIMS MBBS 2019 are:

  • Indian Nationals
  • Non- Residential Indians (NRI)
  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)
  • Foreign Nationals

AIIMS MBBS 2019 Eligibility Criteria (OCIs, NRIs, and Foreign Nationals)

OCI and NRIs: The Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) registered (Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955) and NRIs are eligible to appear for the entrance test. The OCI candidates need to submit proof of registration as an OCI under Section 7A to be eligible for the test. The terms and conditions the AIIMS minimum mark requirement and age will be similar as for Indian Nationals.

Foreign Nationals (applicable for AIIMS, New Delhi): In AIIMS, New Delhi 7 seats are for foreign nationals. The Government of India nominates the foreign candidate and they do not require AIIMS entrance exam marks for admission. The minimum marks requirements for foreign nationals is of 50% aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their Immediate Science or an equivalent examination. The foreign candidates need to contact the Indian Mission/Post abroad in their country and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi for the nomination process.
