AFMC Exam Pattern- Aspirants willing to pursue medical courses must check the AFMC, Pune eligibility before appearing for the NEET entrance exam. NEET is the exam necessary for admissions in AFMC, Pune. Admission to AFMC MBBS will be done on the score obtained in NEET added to the ToELR score divided by 4 to get a score out of 200. AFMC MBBS Final score will equal to written examination score + Interview marks (50 marks). All candidates eligible for NEET are also eligible for AFMC MBBS Admission.

AFMC Exam Pattern -Admission 2019

The admission to AFMC undergraduate medical degree programmes is a two-step process. The candidate aspiring for AFMC MBBS admissions should be well aware of the two stages important for AFMC MBBS admissions.

Stage 1:

The NEET UG entrance exam is the All India Entrance Exam for medical courses at various government, private and deemed universities or colleges in India. AFMC offers admissions on the basis of candidate’s NEET score and rank.

The NEET 2019 exam date is 5 May 2019.

Stage 2:

The second stage for AFMC MBBS admissions is the ToELR (Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning). The AFMC will conduct the test after the NEET results are out. Application procedure for the UG courses will start in the month of June 2019.

AFMC Question Paper Pattern of ToELR

  • Mode of Exam: Online (Computer Based Test) mode.
  • Number of Questions: There will be a total of 40 questions.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions.
  • Marking Scheme: 2 marks for each correct response.
  • Negative Marking: -0.5 marks for each wrong response.
  • Duration of Exam: 30 minutes exam.

Candidate clearing the ToELR successfully are invited for the final interview process. The interview at AFMC is commonly referred to as the Psychological assessment cum Interview.

Selection Procedure AFMC MBBS 2019 Admissions

Candidates should register on the AFMC official website to participate in the selection procedure. The AFMC MBBS  list of selected candidates and counseling schedule will be released in the second week of July 2019.

  • The AFMC MBBS merit list will be based on NEET marks + ToELR score and interview marks.
  • AFMC MBBS final marks will be calculated on the basis of score obtained in NEET added to the ToELR score divided by 4 to get a score out of 200.
  • The total will be max of NEET UIG marks + ToELR i.e. (720 + 80)/4

Application Process

  1. Candidates need to register for NEET 2019 from the official website
  2. An application fee for the test:
    • General / OBC candidates – Rs. 1400
    • SC / ST / PH candidates – Rs. 750
  3. Application Fee payment- Debit/Credit or Internet Banking

AFMC, Pune- PG Degree Admission 2019

AFMC offers four different PG degrees for the graduates in Medical discipline. The MD degree specializations and the duration is  5-year.

The MD and M.Sc./MHA course duration is 3 years and 2 years respectively. Admission to these courses is through NEET-PG. The application process starts in the month of September.
