Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) is a film school housed in Hyderabad state of India and is the country’s first private and non-profit media institute. The foundation stone of the school was laid by the members of Akkineni Family, including Akkineni Nagarjunaand and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The campus of AISFM lies in the Annapurna Studios and was established on June 30, 2011. The Academic Advisory Board of the school is peopled by distinguished filmmakers, actors and directors such as Farah Khan, Karan Johar, Hema Malini, Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi and Aparna Sen. How to apply for admission in AISFM?

IB Student Enquiries for Admission in AISFM
- Each year, AISFM selects a diverse group of applicants to assimilate them in the student body. Applicants who show both creativity and an appetite for academic rigor and can balance proactive expression with collaboration and teamwork are immensely valued.
- For IB students, there is no minimum requirement of total scores or particular course credits for admission to AISFM bachelor’s programs. All students who have been or will be awarded ‘The Diploma of the International Baccalaureate’ are eligible to apply.
- In assessing the application, the admissions department will review the predicted IB score, as well as the results of their own entrance exam, interviews and practical exercises.

While the admission steps are usually held over multiple weekends, IB students will be provided with the opportunity to complete the entire procedure in a single day.
For Domestic Students
International students (holding a non-Indian passport and located outside India) have the option of applying through:

2. Video call interviews
International students will need to submit their certificates for equivilence assessment, before any final offer can be made.
AISFM welcomes students from all over the world, for both regular enrollment and exchange programs through international media schools. AISFM teaches an international curriculum and all classes are in English. International students can apply for BFA, MA and MBA programs and are normally eligible for student visas.

Scholarship and Advanced Standing
AISFM provides partial scholarships from the 2nd semester of the course onwards, based on academic performance in the previous semester.

Documents required for Admission in AISFM
AISFM requires that Indian students submit the following documents at the time of admission. While students may join AISFM on the basis of a conditional offer letter, the final university enrollment will not be confirmed until all documents are submitted.

1. Academic session starts in the month of July every year.
2. Intake into the school happens once a year. The admission process usually begins in October.
