JEE Main 2019 is a national level engineering entrance exam for the admissions in B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch courses in NITs, IITs, CFTIs and private institutions like DTU, Thapar, PEC etc. JEE Main would be conducted in January and April 2019. The exam would be conducted all over India and candidates will be able to apply for the exam online in the first week of November 2019. NTA has already announced the date of JEE Main 2019 which will be held in the month of January and April 2019 in online and offline mode.
Aadhar Card mandatory for JEE Main 2019
From the year 2017, it is mandatory to submit Aadhaar card while applying for JEE Main 2019. Candidates would need to submit aadhaar number in the application form online.
According to official notification,
All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)–2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main)–2017. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be.
Therefore, JEE Main 2019 aspirants need to have Aadhaar card before filling up application form for JEE Main 2019 online exam.
As released in the official notification for JEE Main 2019, aspirants from Meghalaya, J&K, Assam would not require an Aadhaar Card to fill JEE Main 2019 application forms.
